Romantic Ooty

Udhagamandalam or Ooty is situated in Nilgiri Mountains near Tri Junction of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Ooty is the only hill station in India which attracts visitors during all seasons. It has built up a fame as the `all-seasons -hill resort' and the queen of hill stations'. It is one of the most popular hill resorts in southern India at an elevation of 7216 ft. above sea-level, her moods change with every season, but each of her moods is hospitable to the visitor. 

Day 01: Coimbatore – Ooty (98 Km / 2-3 Hrs)
On the arrival at the Coimbatore Airport or Railway Station you will be greeted by our representative and will proceed to Ooty. Ooty – “Queen of hill stations” is situates at an altitude of 2240 mts above sea level, wends  its way through many hair-raising curves and fearful tunnels and chugs along beside deep ravines full of verdant vegetations, gurgling stream and tea gardens. Check – Inn at your Hotel refresh and relax. Overnight stay at Hotel.


Day 02: Ooty Sightseeing 

After Breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing tour to Botanical Gardens, homes to rare trees, shrubs and a variety of beautiful flowers flanked by a serene Lotus Pond. Proceed to Doddabetta, the highest peak in Ooty, lush Conoor Tea Gardens, Dolphin’s Nose, the favorite picnic spot offering stunning vista of Catherine Falls, Ooty Lake, Lamb’s Rock and Kodanadu’s view point.
Return to Hotel and overnight stay at Hotel.



Day 03: Ooty – Coimbatore (98Km / 2-3 Hrs)

After Breakfast at your Hotel  pack your baggage with a promise to return once again to this part of the World……..do  last minute shopping at Coimbatore later, proceed to Airport / Railway Station with sweet memories of your holidays. South Indian Ecstasy

DAY 01: Coimbatore to Ooty (98 Kms / approx 03hrs)

Welcome to South Indian Tour, on arrival at Coimbatore our representative will warmly welcome you at airport and you will be driven to your Hotel at Ooty. Ootacamund or Ooty the queen of southern hill resorts of India is a hill resort standing at 7,349 feet above sea level, Check Inn at your resort, refresh and relax. Later visit OOTY lake is favourite tourist spots of the visitors. The lake covers an area of one and a half square miles, with a railway running along one bank. The large graveyard of St. Thomas's church, built in 1870, overlooks the lake. 

It has the tallest memorial of Ooty, a huge pillar surmounted by a cross, over the grave of William Patrick Adam, the Governor of Madras Presidency, who died in Ooty in 1881. Paddle boats or rowing boats are available for boating enthusiasts.  Overnight stay at Ooty.

DAY 02: Ooty Sightseeing

After Breakfast proceed for full day excursion to Coonor. Coonoor is situated on the eastern side of the southern  extremity of the Doddabetta range, at an altitude of 1,858 metres above the sea level. It is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiris. Coonoor is located 19-km away from Ooty, a famous hill station of India. 
Coonoor was home to the Coon hill tribe. Later visit Botanical Gardens, the gardens lie on the lower slopes of Dodabetta peak, the highest point in Ooty. 

Clipped bushes in the form of elephants, with raised trunks, and other animals greet the visitors, all over the Gardens. More than a thousand different species of plants including thirty odd varieties of eucalyptus. The Roman Catholic Cathedral, recently enlarged, can be seen on the road from Charing Cross to the Botanical Gardens. Overnight stay at Ooty.

 
 
DAY 03: Ooty – Kodaikanal (236 Kms / approx 06hrs)

After Breakfast Check Out from Resort and transfers to Kodaikanal. The beauty of the sights to see in this picturesque town is simply boundless. Here you will see the splendors of Mother Nature as closely as anyone can. If time permits, unfold the mesmerizing beauty of Kodaikanal with a leisurely walk to places like star shaped lake and Fairy Falls that add something special to the already ravishing beauty of this heavenly destination.

DAY 04: Kodaikanal Sightseeing

After Breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing of Kodaikanal, visit Star Shaped Lake The star-shaped lake or the  Kodaikanal Lake is located in the central point of the Kodaikanal and is one of the major tourist attractions of town. It is the brainchild of former Collector, Sir Vere Levinge, who transformed a marshy land into a breathtaking star shaped water body. The entire lake spread over an area of about 60 acres. 

The lake is surrounded by a variety of trees like Pine and Eucalyptus. Apart from enjoying the relaxing view of the lake, you have an option for boating courtesy the Boat Club or you can savor a small horse ride along the sidelines. 

Later visit Solar Observatory one of the only three solar observatories in the world, the observatory in Kodaikanal is almost 75 years old. Located at a distance of 3 km from the lake and at an altitude of 2343 m., the observatory is at the highest point of this hill station. 

You can buy tickets for a show that is played in this observatory that will give you a glimpse of our solar system. Overnight stay at Kodaikanal.

DAY 05: Kodaikanal Sightseeing

After Breakfast at your Resort visit, Fairy Falls, Fairy falls have become an inseparable part of people of Kodaikanal as an interesting spot for picnics. It has also become famous among tourists for its crystal clear waters. 

A swim at the foot at the falls will leave surely leave you refreshed and re-energized. Coaker's Walk Situated around 1 Km from the lake, the coaker's walk proves to be an exceptional place to get some of the most fascinating views of the surrounding areas. Named after the Lt. Coaker, it is situated on the southern end of Kodaikanal. Overnight stay at Kodaikanal.

DAY 06: Kodaikanal – Coimbatore (146 Kms / approx 04hrs)
